Research interests:  My previous research direction focused on identifying and correlating extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins to lung organogenesis and diseases. I worked on isolating newly synthesized ECM proteins from various human and rat lung tissues via a combination of tissue decellularization and metabolic labeling via click chemistry. A desire to further study ECM-cell interactions led me to the Baker Lab. My work aims to better understand the ECM's mechanochemical roles in capillary development, and hopefully be able to engineer vascular beds for tissue cultivation.

Outside of lab interests: Outside of lab, you can usually find me reading (usually scifi, history, or fantasy), running, watching Netflix, or playing video games.
